Revolutionizing Coating Technology

Helios is a research/development and coatings manufacturing company that has developed its globally patented ThermoFlow™ ultra-low and low-cure paint systems, bridging the gap between solvent-based liquid coatings and powder paint solutions. The company’s ThermoFlow™ paint technology focuses on eliminating the process-based limitations that restrict the broader adoption of powder coatings and the reduction of solvent-based paints by eliminating the inherent negatives regarding solvent-borne liquid paints and those associated with powder paints (see chart below) using its recently developed resins and formulations.

The ThermoFlow™ technology platform expands the coatings market and compresses adoption timelines.

Sustainable Innovation for Modern Manufacturing

Our recent developments have created a water-based colloidal suspension of powder coatings that provide an environmentally friendly family of products/systems for multiple substrates at various curing profiles. In addition, ThermoFlow™ has been able to break the 100ᵒC curing barrier for the application of powder coatings to heatsensitive substrates while exhibiting comparable liquid surface finishes. ThermoFlow™ technology allows for an easy transition from solvent-based incumbent liquid application lines to non-RTO/Permit required coating operations with NO capital expense, usually in 15 minutes.
